I was reading my diary, reminiscing about old dates. There is one I\u2019ll never forget:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m really pissed off. Tinder. Do I need to say more?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll tell you anyway. I found a woman on Tinder. Pretty, nice, everything good. We decided to go on a date. Drinks at a local restaurant. I went a bit early, waited, waited more, and after half an hour I phoned her. She had forgotten the time. She asked me to come to her place and promised to cook food with a glass of wine. It wasn\u2019t really a good beginning, but since I was all dressed up, I decided to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, as you could guess, she was completely unrecognizable. And not in a positive way. Wasn\u2019t at all like in pictures. Reminded me of my aunt Gertrude after a drinking bout. Her apartment was disgusting. Dirty dishes and empty cider cans were all over, the bed was unmade, and the vacuum in the corner looked like it hadn\u2019t been used for quite a while. I like to keep my place tidy, so I was shocked. She was pretty drunk and smelled of sweat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I looked with horror when she took a burnt pizza out of the oven. There weren\u2019t clean plates, so she put it on paper plates and poured the wine into a plastic cup. I was starving, but I said I wasn\u2019t hungry. I tasted the wine\u2014you can imagine the taste of the cheapest possible white wine at room temperature, not a pleasure. It didn\u2019t help that there was a lingering cat shit smell you get if you don\u2019t clean your cat\u2019s litter box often enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never have I been so sure at first date, in 15 minutes, that this won\u2019t be a love story of the century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the sex was also disappointing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
